ALISS Visit to Caird Archive and Library, National Maritime Museum

ALISS (Association of Librarians and Information professionals in the Social Sciences).  are pleased to announce an opportunity to visit The Caird Archive and Library, National Maritime Museum, Greenwich. This is the extensive maritime archive in the world including manuscripts, books, charts and maps dating back to the 15th century covering all aspects of seafaring, navigating, London maritime and port history and the royal navy and empire

The visit will last approximately  1.5 hours and take place on 15th August  2.00pm – 3.30pm.

The visit will incorporate:
–              A guided tour of the Caird Library and stores
–              Showcasing some items from the Archive and Library collections
–              An opportunity to meet the staff
–              Members are also welcome to visit the galleries in the museum, however, this is not part of the library tour

There is no charge for ALISS Members. Non members £5
