ALISS (Association of Librarians and Information Professionals in the Social Sciences) is a not-for-profit unincorporated professional society.
It is an independent group which was formed in April 2005. Our web site is at: http://www.alissnet.org.uk
During the past few years the group has offered a growing number of visits and events. These include conferences on topics such as information literacy and working with special collections
Committee membership involves

  • Attendance at meetings (average 5 per year). These are usually held in London but we would be prepared to hold some out of London
  • Planning forthcoming events, conferences, visits
  • Helping develop the web site http://www.alissnet.org.uk
  • Overseeing the publication of our journal ALISS Quarterly

If you are keen to get involved we would like to hear from you! Committee members receive free copies of the journal. All committee members must be individual or group members of ALISS.

If you would like to nominate yourself or suggest the name of someone who you would like to see on the ALISS committee please send your nomination by 14th May to:
